PM Barzani lands in Qatar on official visit
ERBIL (Kurdistan 24) – Qatar’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sultan bin Saad al-Muraikhi received Prime Minister Masrour Barzani at Hamad International Airport in the Gulf country’s capital Doha on Tuesday.
Accompanied by a number of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) ministers – including the ministers of planning, foreign affairs, and martyrs – Prime Minister Barzani is set to meet high-level Qatari officials, most notably Emir Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani and Prime Minister Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani.
Having been officially invited by the state of Qatar, the Kurdish prime minister plans to stay in the Gulf state for two days.

Barzani is also set to meet with the Qatari Commerce and Industry Minister Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari during his time there.
This is the second visit of Prime Minister Barzani to the Gulf region in less than a month.
In late January, the Kurdish official visited Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates and met Mohamed bin Zayed, the crown prince of the emirate and the deputy head of the Emirati armed forces.
